Stating the Obvious

Can I just say that trying to lose weight really stinks?

I'm being really good this week, honestly. But it stinks! I want to be able to just eat without thinking about everything so much!

And I would be able to if I'd thought a little more about what I've been eating (and how much) along the way!

So I Fell Off the Weight Loss Wagon

Oh, boy. I've been soooo bad!

Between Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, and this snow-in, I've watched the poundage creep back on.

But after watching "Super Size Me" (HIGHLY recommended!) and an episode or two of Dr. Oz, I realize it's more than a waistline.

It's my health. MY LIFE!

So I did an hour of Zumba tonight and passed on my husband's super yum apple pie.

Baby steps...all I know is I gotta get back on that wagon!

Food reports start tomorrow!

If THAT Doesn't Light a Fire Under Me...

Alrighty, I'm back in the game. Wanna know why?

Because today my friend Megan told me her weight. You know, Megan, who is 8 months pregnant--with twins?

AND WE WEIGH THE EXACT SAME WEIGHT!!!!

If that doesn't light a fire under me, nothing will. I mean, the girl is carrying two extra PEOPLE in her body! And me? Well, I'm carrying a few too many trips to the fridge on me! Let's just say I nearly died when I heard that.

And SO...

Breakfast: Grape Nuts w/ sugar sprinkle and Fat-free milk.
Snack: Granola and Fat-free milk.
Lunch: PBJ sandwich, applesauce.
Snack: 1/4 of a high-fiber Pop-Tart.
Dinner: Teriyaki pork tenderloin, grilled summer squash, jasmine rice.

Exercise: I did about 1/2 of the Shred with my kids, and I swam (kinda sorta) today.

May Have Measured Too Soon

I decided to re-measure myself today. You know, since I've been eating better/exercising for like five minutes and all. I've lost an inch in my waist, but I'm exactly the same everywhere else. I think measuring 5 days in is along the lines of burning all my size _____ clothes and going on a shopping spree for a bunch of size 2's--overly optimistic, maybe? :)



Day Five:

Breakfast: Grape Nuts with sugar. Fat-free chocolate milk.
Snack: Trail mix.
Lunch: Yogurt with fruit preserves mixed in. Butternut squash soup.
Dinner: 2 Tacos, mashed sweet potatoes.
Dessert: Peanut Butter Pie. I'm sure this will come back to bite me in the tush, but it was soooo good...

No exercise. I am beyond exhausted. Tomorrow!

Seems Like Exercise is Hazardous to Your Health!

Back on Track

I was a good girl today. :) Motivated perhaps by a promo video that will be shot in May. That's one way to light a fire under me!

Breakfast: Dried apricots, one small square of chocolate, blueberry hot tea (sugar & skim milk)Snack: Bag of popcorn (one of those snack-size bags).
Lunch: Chicken breast on wheat with veggie cream cheese.
Snack: More dried apricots.
Dinner: 2 slices pepperoni pizza, Diet Coke, carrots.

Exercise: "Shred" AND 10 minutes of going in reverse on the elliptical machine. Look at me go!

I am going to go ahead and post this NOW so I won't eat a bite more!
